Makeup Tips and Tricks
Steps for foundations:
Open jar and dip your brush into the foundation. Kabuki brushes work best for this but powder
brushes are fine as well.
Turn over the lid that is used to cover the mineral makeup jar and tap the powder into the
top of jar (The jar top acts like a small bucket)
Really push the brush into the powder that you have placed in the top of the jar. Work the
powder into the brush (This is important)
After you do this the powder will almost be invisible on the brush.
Using circular & soft brush motions on the face, forehead and near eyes. Repeat steps 1-6
until you reached the desired coverage. It should blend very well with the face and appear as very sheer. For heavier coverage
repeat the above steps until desired coverage is reached
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT JUST DIP YOUR KABUKI BRUSH AND
APPLY - THE MINERALS WILL GO ON TO DARK!
DO NOT USE TO MUCH FOUNDATION AT ONE TIME! IF you a used to a heavier makeup
then simply repeat the above steps to reach desired coverage!
Steps for the perfect blush
Always apply after foundation. Sweep the Blush Brush across the blush and tap off excess. Smile
at yourself in the mirror to emphasize the apples of your cheeks. Use a circular motion to sweep the brush from the cheek
outward and upward toward your ear and hairline. Blend evenly.
If you like, dot a little color onto the places naturally warmed by the sun: temples, nose,
and chin.
Use a light hand at first. If you want more color, add a layer of blush.
For a dramatic look, use a second, deeper shade of blush. Suck in your cheeks and apply the
deeper shade just below the natural line of your cheekbone. Blend with your brush.
Steps for a Bright Bold (folied) Eye
Start with a clean eyeshadow brush, one that you are using for foiling only! Dip your brush
in water, make sure it is completely wet.
Dip the brush in the eyeshadow, the brush will pick up the eyeshadow it needs so do not think
you have to much.
In a sweeping motion brush the eyeshadow on the bottom portion of the lid. You will need to
use both sides of the brush.
You can repeat this process if you need to.
There are several "looks" that you can get by foiling the eye, this is the basic method of
foiling.
Tip: If you make a mistake wipe it off now, because once it drys it is harder to get off.
